In this essential role, you will report to the Manager of Environmental Health and Safety. Your expertise in occupational health and safety regulations will ensure compliance and enhance the safety culture within the university community. Collaborate with various departments to conduct risk assessments and provide crucial training programs aimed at promoting workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop safe work procedures and regulatory compliance measures

• Conduct risk assessments and workplace inspections

• Manage incident investigations and recommend corrective actions

• Coordinate health and safety training programs for staff

• Collaborate with university stakeholders to implement safety initiatives

Requirements:

• Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or related field

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in health and safety

• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Professional health and safety certification preferred
