Quality Control Manager

Lead compliance and quality initiatives as a Quality Control Manager for the City of Thunder Bay. Oversee operations auditing, regulatory adherence, and process improvement in the Environment Division.

In this managerial role, you'll enhance compliance frameworks and promote accountability within the Compliance & Quality Control Section. This position requires you to ensure adherence to the Safe Drinking Water Act and support the Municipal Drinking Water Licensing Program. Your efforts will contribute to the effectiveness of the City’s emergency plan and the continual improvement of the Quality Management System.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive policy compliance and operational audits

• Enhance quality assurance reviews for divisions

• Manage the City’s Sewer Use Control Program

• Ensure Federal and Provincial regulations adherence

• Liaise with regulatory bodies and senior management

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, Science, or related field

• Seven years’ experience in regulatory compliance

• Leadership experience in government or private sector

• Knowledge of municipal by-law and related regulations

• Strong understanding of human resource management
