Family Wellness Worker

Make a positive impact as a Family Wellness Worker with Dilico in Thunder Bay, Ontario. This permanent, full-time role involves regular travel to support families in need of guidance and protection.

You will work with families facing challenges, promoting unity and well-being while respecting Indigenous values. As a Family Wellness Worker, you’ll conduct kinship searches, provide emergency support, and adhere to the Mikinaak Service Model. This position not only offers a fulfilling career but also includes flexible scheduling to maintain work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance and support to families in crisis

• Conduct kinship searches to aid family reunification

• Perform Intake and Protection duties as needed

• Work on an on-call basis for emergency situations

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Indigenous Studies or Human Services

• Minimum 3 years of experience in community-based models

• Understanding of Anishinabe history and culture

• Clean driving record and Class G Driver’s License

• Satisfactory Criminal Records Search
