Thunder Bay SNAP Child and Family Case Manager

Become a SNAP Child and Family Case Manager in Thunder Bay, ON, making a positive difference in the community. This contract position includes direct engagement with children and families for treatment guidance.
Under the SNAP® Program Manager's supervision, your role will focus on understanding and responding to the complex needs of youth and their families. Specializing in counseling, you will create tailored treatment strategies, helping clients cope with behavioral and emotional issues while working within a multidisciplinary team. Your interpersonal skills will be crucial in connecting with hard-to-reach clients effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess needs of families and youth

• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with families

• Deliver individual, family, and group counseling

• Work with community partners like schools and police

• Tackle risky behaviors and promote healthy family interactions
Requirements:

• Two-year Human Services Diploma required

• 2+ years counseling Anishinabek families preferred

• SNAP training/certification considered a bonus

• Must have Class “G” Driver’s License and vehicle access

• Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate is ideal
