Position: Employment Counsellor at Employment Agency
Join our team as an Employment Counsellor at an employment agency in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Assist clients with their job search strategies and offer valuable career advice at our location.

In this full-time role, you will interview clients to assess their employment needs and assist them with résumé writing and interview preparation. By collaborating with employers, you will address human resource challenges and guide clients through workplace transitions. Your expertise will support community employment efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough client interviews for case history collection

• Identify barriers to employment and provide tailored advice

• Refer clients to necessary external services

• Advise on mid-career changes and job satisfaction strategies

• Monitor outcomes of counselling programs and adjust as needed

Requirements:

• Familiarity with MS Outlook, MS Windows, MS Word

• Background in community service organizations

• Own vehicle and valid driver's licence required

• Ability to manage a heavy caseload

• Criminal record check clearance
