Casual Clinical Assistant

Make a difference in the Thunder Bay community as a Casual Classroom Clinical Assistant. Support Anishinabek students with specialized mental health services in a flexible, casual role.

Working with the Intensive Treatment Services–School-Based program, you'll partner with the Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board. This role focuses on culturally informed mental health support, aiming to stabilize students in their home school environments. Your expertise in Indigenous Learning, Social Work, or Psychology will help address students’ social and emotional needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide culturally relevant mental health support

• Collaborate with families to enhance student well-being

• Customize individual goals for student reintegration

• Participate in cultural and recreational program activities

• Maintain flexible hours and adapt to alternate locations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Indigenous Learning or related field

• Three years of relevant experience with Anishinabek populations

• Standard First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain

• Valid Class “G” Driver’s License and access to a vehicle

• Satisfactory Criminal Records Search completion
