Gladue Aftercare Worker Centre

Become a Gladue Aftercare Worker with Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre, focusing on Indigenous client support and advocacy. This role emphasizes community outreach, effective program delivery, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

As a key member of the Gladue Aftercare Program, you will assist Indigenous clients in navigating recommendations from their Gladue Report. The role involves direct service provision and facilitating necessary referrals within the centre and the community. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to deliver effective support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver and administer aftercare program services

• Assist clients in following Gladue Report recommendations

• Provide referrals to relevant programs and services

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team members

• Maintain accurate case and file management

Requirements:

• Degree/diploma in social services or related field

• Minimum 5 years in Indigenous social/justice services

• Knowledge of judicial system and Indigenous culture

• Excellent communication and crisis intervention skills

• Valid Ontario Driver’s License and clear security check
