Gladue Caseworker

Support Indigenous clients with GLADUE reports as a Gladue Caseworker at Nishnawbe-Aski Legal Services in Thunder Bay or Kenora, Ontario. This full-time role focuses on providing direct services and referrals.

Nishnawbe-Aski Legal Services Corporation is seeking a skilled Gladue Caseworker with experience in social or justice services. Successful candidates will assist Indigenous individuals in receiving timely services based on their Gladue reports. Knowledge of the judicial system and Indigenous culture is essential for this impactful role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist clients in fulfilling Gladue report recommendations

• Provide direct services and referrals to community programs

• Maintain case and file management effectively

• Work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends

• Communicate clearly with clients and community services

Requirements:

• Community College diploma or equivalent experience

• Minimum 5 years in social or justice services

• Knowledge of Indigenous culture and the judicial system

• Valid Ontario driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Clear criminal reference check required
