Full-Time Gladue Caseworker

Join Nishnawbe-Aski Legal Services Corporation as a Gladue Caseworker, providing essential support to Indigenous individuals in Thunder Bay or Kenora.

Your role will focus on implementing Gladue report recommendations and connecting clients with vital community services.

This full-time position requires a strong background in social or justice services, with at least five years of relevant experience. You will utilize your knowledge of the judicial system and Indigenous culture to advocate for clients effectively. Strong communication and case management skills are essential to succeed in this rewarding role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with Gladue report recommendations

• Provide direct services and make referrals to community programs

• Maintain case and file management efficiently

• Work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary

• Facilitate group discussions and support client decision-making

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Social Services preferred

• Minimum of 5 years in social or justice services

• Knowledge of Indigenous culture and judicial systems

• Valid Ontario driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
