Support the Indigenous community in Thunder Bay as the Indigenous Healing and Wellness Program Coordinator. Drive healing initiatives, crisis intervention, and cultural workshops to promote healthy lifestyles.

The Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre seeks a full-time Coordinator to implement strategies addressing family violence through educational and cultural programming. This role targets healing and wellness needs, delivering confidential services, and engaging families and individuals through community outreach. Your expertise in family violence issues and Indigenous culture will be pivotal in this impactful position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement the Indigenous Healing and Wellness Strategy locally

• Lead crisis intervention and prevention workshops

• Deliver education on healthy relationship choices

• Provide support to individuals, families, and the community

• Develop culture-based programs to address family violence

Requirements:

• Degree in Social Work or related field preferred

• Experience in crisis intervention and supporting high-risk clients

• Knowledge of Indigenous culture and trauma impacts

• Strong public relations and case management skills

• Valid Ontario Driver’s License and reliable transportation
