Position: Residential Support Worker at Life Without Barriers

Empower young lives as a Residential Support Worker at Life Without Barriers. This casual role focuses on developing independence and fostering connections in a safe environment.

In this role, you will collaborate with a Senior Residential Carer and other team members to provide care for children and young people. You'll create a homelike atmosphere that promotes skill development, emotional management, and community engagement. This position requires availability for various shifts, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support young people to reach goals in Individual Case Plans

• Promote independence and strengthen community connections

• Encourage interests and facilitate positive experiences

• Manage behavioral escalations and assist emotional regulation

• Support daily living skills such as cooking and laundry

Requirements:

• Certificate IV in Youth Work or related qualification

• Experience with trauma-affected young people

• Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism

• First Aid and CPR certification

• Familiarity with behavioral management approaches
