Child and Youth Support Worker Position

You will support children and young people in a structured residential environment, guided by experienced carers. The role involves empowering youth to manage emotions, develop daily living skills, and reconnect with their education. Your work will include various shifts—afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate goal achievement in Individual Case Plans

• Promote independence through community involvement

• Assist young people's interests and hobbies

• Manage behavioral escalations and emotional needs

• Support daily life skills such as cooking and cleaning

Requirements:

• Certificate IV in Youth Work or willingness to obtain

• Background in trauma-informed care for youth

• Strong professional boundaries and interpersonal skills

• Current First Aid and CPR certifications

• Knowledge of behavior management techniques
