Warehouse Associate (Loading, Unloading & Sorting)
We are seeking a Warehouse Associate to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution environment. This role is responsible for loading and unloading freight, sorting shipments, preparing deliveries, and supporting daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is reliable, physically fit, safety-conscious, and enjoys working in a team-oriented environment.
Salary Starting at $19.34 per hour
Schedule- Monday to Friday
- 3:15 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
- 15-minute paid break
- 15-minute unpaid break
Location Thunder Bay, Ontario
Responsibilities- Load and unload freight from trailers and delivery vehicles.
- Sort packages and freight efficiently to meet operational deadlines.
- Prepare shipments for delivery by organizing and staging freight.
- Scan, weigh, measure, and verify shipments using handheld scanning equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Assist with daily warehouse setup and general operational support.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and standard operating practices.
- Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned by management.
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, freight handling, or package sorting experience is preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced distribution or logistics environment is considered an asset.
- Ability to safely lift up to 70 lbs on a regular basis.
- Comfortable performing repetitive lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of handheld scanners is an asset.
- Familiarity with dangerous goods handling is considered an asset.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Must wear CSA-approved steel-toe safety boots.
- Valid government-issued identification is required for site access.
- Candidates must successfully complete a Canadian background check before starting employment.
