Overview
Electronics Engineer (Defence/Mining) – Thurso (100% Office Based, 5 days a week).
Design advanced battery systems for defence, aerospace, security and renewable‑energy sectors while enjoying the Scottish Highlands lifestyle. The role involves building high‑performance electronic solutions for blue‑chip customers across critical industries.

- Design, develop and validate advanced electronic systems focussed on battery management systems (BMS).
- Develop analogue, digital and power electronic circuits and systems.
- Produce schematic designs and PCB layouts using industry‑standard CAD software.
- Support prototype builds, testing, validation and debugging activities.
- Collaborate with software, mechanical and manufacturing engineers across the full product lifecycle.
- Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in electronic design, PCB layout and embedded systems.
- Proficiency with CAD packages such as Altium, KiCad or similar.
- Knowledge of battery management systems, power electronics, EMC/EMI or embedded C/C++.
- Experience in analogue and digital circuit design is highly desirable.
Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 5:00pm, Friday 8:00am – 12:30pm (Early Friday Finish). Located in Thurso, Scotland.
