Swim Instructor

Overview

THE POSITION We are currently seeking a Swim Instructor to join the TPC Team. This position will be primarily responsible for providing group swim lessons for camp and potentially private lessons to kids of all ages and varying abilities. Availability is required between 10:30am – 5:30pm and weekend availability. Seasonal with the potential of year-round.

• Ensuring the safety of all swimmers which includes incident prevention, response, and reporting.
• Enforcing all Club rules and pool rules while providing a high level of customer service to members and their guests.
• Facilitating scheduling of lessons with members and subsequent billing.
• Effectively rescue and provide first said whenever necessary.
• Fulfilling other duties as assigned by Supervisor as needed.
• Acting as part of the TPC team which includes attending staff meetings.

• At least 1 year of related experience, ideally in a private club environment.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification.
• Water Safety Certification preferred.
• High level of responsibility and accountability.
• Ability to demonstrate motivation and patience with children of all ages.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
• Upbeat, polite, and friendly personality.
• Ability to pass a background check if required.

Compensation: 40% - 55% Commission DOE
