Personal Trainer

THE POSITION

We are currently seeking a part-time Personal Trainer to join the TPC Fitness Team!

• Meets with and assesses members for fitness needs, and provides a safe and effective class and/or program to meet those needs.
• Assist with Fitness Desk activities and assist in coverage during break times or call-outs.
• Leads members through a personalize workout routine with appropriate verbal instructions and clear patterns of movement according to accepted fitness standards and practices.
• Arrives early to inspect workout equipment for safety and/or issues.
• Provides necessary modifications and spotting as needed.
• Enforces youth member procedures and all gym rules and policies.
• Complies with departmental and Club policies and procedures
• Keeps the Wellness Director informed of member issues comments and concerns.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalency, some college preferred.
• Current, nationally recognized personal training certifications
• ACSM, NASM, or NSCA-CPT, personal training certification
• Current CPR/First-Aid/AED Certification

• 2+ years training experience in a private gym/health club setting.
• Advanced Certifications (Examples):
• NSCA-CSCS, NASM-CES
• Background in:
  • Racquet sports
  • Youth Training
  • Pre- and Postpartum
  • Snow Sports
  • Cycling
  • Aging Populations
• Ability to work independently.
• Must be punctual, reliable and conscientious.
• Basic computer skills, MS Office suite including Word, Excel and Outlook, Clubsoft Access

PLUS 45% - 65% Commission (DOE) on all training sessions serviced.
