About
The Role
As an EHS Manager, you will be responsible for leading Environmental, Health, Safety & Security activities across one or more PPG locations. You will ensure compliance with local legislation and PPG standards while developing and implementing strategies that promote a strong safety culture and sustainable operations.
Working closely with the Site Leadership Team, Country EHS Manager, and other stakeholders, you will play a critical role in protecting our people, facilities, and the environment while supporting the achievement of business objectives.
What will you do?
Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the site EHS Management System.
Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, health, safety, and security regulations and PPG standards.
Develop and execute local EHS strategies aligned with business objectives and regional EHS requirements.
Partner with site leadership teams to drive a proactive safety culture and support operational excellence.
Manage EHS programs, procedures, audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and environmental events, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Monitor and maintain EHS performance metrics, scorecards, and KPI reporting.
Develop and deliver EHS training, awareness programs, and emergency preparedness activities.
Collaborate with Process Safety Managers and Coordinators to ensure process safety requirements are met.
Manage EHS budgets and identify opportunities for investment in EHS-related infrastructure and improvements.
Support regulatory inspections and maintain professional relationships with relevant authorities.
Facilitate local EHS leadership meetings and communicate key EHS initiatives and performance updates to stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement projects focused on reducing risk and enhancing environmental and safety performance.
What do you bring?
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Relevant experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing, industrial, or chemical environment.
Strong knowledge of environmental, occupational health, and safety regulations.
Experience implementing and managing EHS management systems and compliance programs.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and develop practical solutions.
Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analyses.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
Professional proficiency in both English and Dutch.
Willingness to travel between sites as required.
