STARTING RATE: $17.00 (no certificate upon hire) / $18.00 (certified upon hire)

• Engage individuals in recovery through outreach and ongoing support, including those who may be hard to reach or hesitant to seek help.
• Build trusted relationships by listening empathetically and offering consistent, compassionate peer support.
• Support client‑directed recovery planning by helping clients transition from professional treatment to individualized wellness plans.
• Provide recovery education and coaching, including information on stages of recovery, coping strategies, and navigating daily challenges.
• Connect clients to critical resources such as recovery housing, employment, healthcare, support groups, and 12‑step programs.
• Collaborate with treatment providers to reinforce clinical services and encourage sustained recovery through one‑on‑one and group support.

• Correctional Facilities – Provide peer support to individuals preparing for re‑entry; assist with recovery planning and linkages to post‑release services.
• Recovery Housing – Support clients in building sober routines and accessing resources for employment, health, and daily living.
• Specialty Courts – Help participants meet court requirements, attend court and treatment appointments, and stay engaged in recovery.
• Outpatient Programs – Work alongside clinical teams to reinforce treatment goals and provide peer‑led recovery support.

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Peer Support Certification (required within 3 months of hire)
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse client population
