• Perform basic and advanced polysomnography tasks. Score and process reports to integrating physician. Assist in troubleshooting and maintaining sleep disorder centers equipment. Provide input with product evolution. Provide patient care. May assist with staff training as directed by clinical coordinator. Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to assigned patient.

• Participates in case conferences with night technicians and assists them in breakdown, clean up and patient discharge to ensure a neat lab.
• Prepares the patient, explains the procedure and ensures patient cooperation during the examination.
• Assists with conducting various polysomnographic testing procedures.
• Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing to determine proper testing.
• Performs clerical duties such as answering the telephone and directing inquiries, setting up/maintaining files, scheduling/patient care matters, inventory control/ordering supplies.
• Prepares preliminary reports addressed to the patient’s physician.
• Abstracts relevant information from the patient’s clinical record and obtains additional information if necessary.
• Assists Sleep Lab Manager with projects and related duties as assigned.

• Must be registered by the board of Polysomnography.
• BRPT is required.
• BLS required.
