If you come from an adjacent trade — HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, plumbing — or you've completed a technical school program and have solid mechanical and electrical fundamentals, we want to hear from you. We will train the right applicant. Bring the aptitude and the work ethic, and we'll teach you the appliance side of the trade and help you get certified.

As our Appliance Service Technician, you're the face of Ralph's in our customers' homes - installing, maintaining, and repairing appliances with the quality and care our name is built on. You'll treat every customer and teammate with respect and courtesy, and you'll help grow the business by spotting opportunities for additional work along the way.

• Diagnose and repair major appliances in customers' homes, including refrigerators, ranges, cooktops, wall ovens, dishwashers, washers, and dryers
• Handle both warranty and non-warranty service calls, documenting findings, parts, and labor accurately
• Provide honest cost estimates for repairs and installations, and collect payment or payment information for work performed
• Order and track parts, then follow up with customers to schedule return visits
• Keep your service vehicle clean, organized, and properly stocked
• Follow all safety procedures for electrical, gas, and refrigerant work
• Pitch in and cross-train in related positions when the team needs you

• A current appliance technician certification (NASTeC, PSA/UASA, EPA Section 608, or manufacturer factory certification) with hands-on experience repairing major household appliances, OR
• Experience in an adjacent trade such as HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, or plumbing, OR
• A technical school education with strong mechanical and electrical fundamentals — we'll provide the appliance training

• A professional, courteous presence in customers' homes
• Your own basic set of hand tools
• Valid driver's license with a clean record
• You live in or can commute daily to the Tiffin or Findlay, Ohio area
• At least 18 years of age and comfortable using tablet-based technology

• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis and up to 100 pounds occasionally without assistance, and the physical ability to perform strenuous work under varied circumstances
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear
