Phlebotomist - PSC Walgreens at Labcorp

Lab Corp provides vital health information that helps clients and patients understand their health. We are seeking a Phlebotomist to provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and represent our company in patient service centers.

• Employees scheduled 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits; employees scheduled less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan only.

Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm with a 1 hour lunch break. Hours/location may change based on business needs.

Tifton, GA

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other analyses.
• Enter patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Assemble equipment such as tourniquet, needles, disposable containers, and alcohol on work tray according to test requirements.
• Draw from a wide range of patient cases confidently.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards, procedures, and legal regulations.
• Verify or record identity of patient or donor and converse with patient or donor.
• Maintain refrigerator and freezer temperatures.
• Handle urine analysis and perform a variety of routine blood drawing procedures.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training from an accredited agency, or previous phlebotomy experience is required.
• Experience:
  
  1 year of hospital experience or 2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Eligible for the quarterly incentive bonus program based on performance metrics.
