Hours: 40 hours per week; some evening and weekend hours are required

Salary: $55,000 – $60,000, commensurate with experience

Status: Full-time with benefits, (State health insurance, flexible benefits, TRS)

The Coastal Plain Regional Library System (CPRLS), headquartered in Tifton, GA, is seeking a dynamic and innovative Head of Public Services to join its Regional Administration team. Under the direction of the Library Director, the Head of Public Services works collaboratively to coordinate and continuously improve library experiences for Coastal Plan Regional Library patrons. The Head of Public Services serves as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.

The Head of Public Services will be responsible for all Coastal Plain Regional Library System branch locations.

The Head of Public Services position involves key essential functions across Supervision & Support, Communication, Management & Reporting, and Other/Additional Duties. This includes supervising branch managers, providing guidance to staff, leading organizational projects, resolving customer complaints, ensuring effective inter-departmental communication, analyzing and creating reports, and participating in budget preparation and community engagement. The role also requires a strong set of knowledge, skills, and abilities, such as a high level of comfort with technology, project management skills, strong management and leadership capabilities, and the ability to work effectively with staff and the public while maintaining attention to detail and managing multiple projects.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree required; MLIS from an ALA-accredited institution preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Two (2) years customer service experience in a public library setting.
• Experience:
  
  Three (3) years of experience managing community library services and projects; two (2) years preferred in a supervisory capacity.
• PINES experience preferred
• Certifications & Licenses:
  Valid Georgia Driver’s License and good driving record. 2-year Driving Report.
