This position is responsible for providing professional grooming services for dogs, utilizing knowledge of canine characteristics, grooming styles, and techniques.

• Deliver world-class customer satisfaction
• Answer phones and schedule appointments
• Assist in generating business through calls, scheduling, follow-ups, and verifying vaccinations
• Book appointments and greet pets upon arrival
• Report all accidents and injuries promptly to the Store Manager
• Follow grooming procedures as outlined
• Perform services such as ear cleaning, nail clipping, and other grooming needs
• Follow customer instructions for clipping patterns
• Clip hair using electric clippers, shears, and combs
• Shape and groom coats
• Use techniques to keep animals calm
• Complete and maintain customer and company forms accurately
• Adhere to safety rules and standards
• Maintain cleanliness of cages, tubs, and grooming areas
• Assist in store operations as needed

• Minimum of 1-year grooming/styling experience with dogs and cats
• Must provide own grooming tools or be willing to purchase them
• High school diploma or equivalent; successful completion of Paragon Level 1 & 2 training preferred

• Operate grooming tools and equipment effectively
• Effective communication with customers
• Compassionate treatment of animals
• Attention to detail
• Ability to lift pets weighing up to 50 pounds
• Flexible work hours including weekends and evenings
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods

• Indoor environment with moderate noise
• Exposure to wet conditions and pet waste
• Work shifts typically range from 4 to over 8 hours

• Ability to move and transfer animals and equipment up to 50 pounds
• Stand, bend, kneel, and operate grooming tools effectively
• Read, write, and complete documentation accurately
