PURPOSE:

Truck Care Cashiers help run our business by providing excellent customer service while operating the cash registers, inputting and verifying service orders, stocking merchandise, and performing light housekeeping duties.

Truck Care Cashiers perform various daily customer service tasks by operating the cash register and assisting customers. This includes inputting work order information into the POS system and verifying the accuracy of services performed, along with basic housekeeping tasks around the location such as sweeping, mopping, and cleaning restroom areas.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet customers and assist them as needed.
• Connect customers with service specialists to identify required services.
• Accurately input work order information into the POS and verify the accuracy of services performed.
• Operate a cash register and maintain an organized drawer.
• Collect and close out pending invoices.
• Communicate with fleet maintenance departments to obtain work authorizations and/or purchase orders.
• Answer phones promptly and address customer needs using proper etiquette.
• Interface with multiple electronic platforms for clear communication.
• Stock and face merchandise in the customer area.
• Perform maintenance in customer areas and restrooms, including detail cleaning and waste management.
• Conduct weekly and monthly projects.
• Maintain personal grooming and uniform standards.
• Ensure a safe facility and adhere to safety practices.
• Other tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience:
  
  6 months retail and cash handling experience preferred; trucking industry experience preferred.

  • Involves standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
  • Occasional light lifting up to 100 lbs.
  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• WORK ENVIRONMENT: Exposure to outdoor elements in all seasons, fumes, particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level can be loud, and employees may encounter dirt, dust, grime, grease, oil, gas, cleaning solutions, and human waste.
• TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: No travel is expected for this position.
