As a Technician at Penske, you’ll do preventive maintenance and minor repairs on the newest and best‑maintained fleet of vehicles in the industry. You will help our customers keep their vehicles in shape and on the road. You’ll get industry‑certified training to succeed and grow. The facilities are clean and fully equipped.
- Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
- Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
- Perform preventive maintenance repairs—e.g., replacing or rotating tires, lubricating and replacing components, electrical repairs, cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles.
- Partner with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s training and hands‑on coaching.
- Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

- Strong, well‑rounded training on a variety of OEM equipment (Penske’s Technician Certification Program is a Continuing Automotive Service Education provider).
- Advanced vehicle maintenance technology.
- Location and schedule flexibility.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Problem‑solving ability and comfort using tools.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Team player; able to work well with others and independently.
- Basic computer skills.
- Follow Penske’s instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, and safety policies (DOT, OSHA, etc.).
- Full attendance essential; ability to maintain a DOT driver qualification file and comply with transport regulations.
- Willingness to work required schedule; complete background screening, drug screen, medical exam, and travel for training.
- Move frequently; stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods.
- Use hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, and operate tools or controls.
- Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms.
- Work in all weather conditions.
- Navigates workplace safely; see and hear properly.
- Lift regularly up to 50lbs and occasionally up to 100lbs.
