We are partnering with a well established and growing company in Tigard that operates in both the construction and manufacturing industries. They are looking for a dependable, detail oriented Accounts Payable & Payroll Clerk to join their team! This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with numbers, enjoys staying organized, and takes pride in getting the details right!

You will be supporting the accounting and payroll functions for two busy operations, working closely with employees, vendors, project teams, and leadership to keep everything running smoothly. We are looking for someone who is reliable, takes ownership of their work, and isn't afraid to ask questions or dig into discrepancies when something doesn't look right. The best part? This is not intended to be a dead end clerical position!

The company is growing and wants someone who can grow right along with them. For the right person, there is potential to take on additional responsibilities in accounting, payroll, project accounting, and financial operations down the road!

• Process vendor invoices accurately and on time for two separate business operations
• Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, supporting documentation, and job costing allocations
• Enter and maintain Accounts Payable information in company accounting systems
• Assist with payment processing, including checks, ACH payments, and other vendor payments
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, purchase order issues, and receiving differences
• Maintain accurate vendor records, accounting documentation, and organized files
• Assist with weekly payroll preparation and processing
• Review employee timecards and timekeeping records for accuracy and completeness
• Research and resolve timekeeping discrepancies before payroll is processed
• Assist with payroll adjustments, deductions, reimbursements, and employee payroll changes
• Maintain accurate and confidential payroll and employee records
• Assist with Accounts Payable and payroll reconciliations
• Support month end accounting activities and general bookkeeping functions
• Communicate with vendors, employees, project teams, and management regarding accounting and payroll questions
• Help identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, documentation, and overall efficiency
• Jump in and provide additional accounting and administrative support wherever needed!

• Previous experience in Accounts Payable, payroll, bookkeeping, or general accounting support preferred
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and invoice processing
• Familiarity with payroll processing and employee timekeeping
• Strong computer skills and comfort learning accounting and payroll software
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Ability to research discrepancies and solve problems independently
