Maynard's Auto Repair is seeking an experienced A-Level Automotive Diagnostic Technician in Clackamas, OR. This position pays $42-$50 per flagged hour, based on experience, with a Monday-Friday schedule and no weekends. The shop is a well-established local business with a six-bay facility, a small technician team, and a professional, quality-focused environment. This is an opportunity to bring advanced diagnostic expertise to a shop that prioritizes accurate repairs, clean workmanship, and doing the job right.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair domestic and Asian vehicles.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical and drivability concerns using strong automotive diagnostic skills.
- Perform repairs involving brakes, suspension, engines, electrical systems, and related automotive systems.
- Complete accurate diagnostics and resolve repair concerns with an emphasis on quality and craftsmanship.
- Work independently while collaborating with technicians, service staff, and shop leadership.
- Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly and professionally with service staff.
- Maintain clean, organized workmanship and focus on completing repairs correctly the first time.
- Provide technical expertise and stability as the shop moves through its leadership transition.
- At least 6 years of hands-on professional automotive repair experience REQUIRED.
- A-Level technician experience with advanced automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong experience diagnosing electrical and drivability concerns.
- Experience servicing and repairing domestic and Asian vehicles.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a small team.
- Clear, professional communication with service staff and shop leadership.
- General computer proficiency; ALLDATA experience is preferred.
- Flat-rate pay of $42-$50 per flagged hour, based on experience.
