Job Type: Full‑time

Description

We seek a dedicated Lead Medication Technician (Med Tech/CMA) to provide compassionate, direct care to residents, assisting with medication administration and activities of daily living, following individualized medication and treatment plans. This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to high‑quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee medication administration, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations
  • Train and mentor staff on medication management best practices
  • Ensure breaks are taken as assigned
  • Collaborate with Health and Wellness Director to develop individualized care plans
  • Monitor residents' responses to medications, reporting any concerns
  • Maintain accurate records of medication administration and resident care activities
  • Order and receive medication
  • Conduct audits of medication storage and handling to ensure compliance
  • Review medication administration records and report errors to the HWD
  • Provide education and support to residents and families about medication management
  • Assist Resident Care Coordinator with scheduling as needed
  • Prioritize independence and provide emotional support through engagement and companionship
  • Assist residents with daily medication administration, including self‑administration, per care plan
Requirements Education And Certifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid state medication administration license (CNA/CMA/CMT/QMAP) or meet state requirements for medication administration in assisted living
  • Current First Aid and CPR license or ability to obtain
Experience, Competencies, And Skills
  • At least two years of experience administering medications in a caregiving setting
  • Experience with memory care preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and high integrity
  • Strong leadership, communication skills, and teamwork mindset
  • Positive attitude, empathy, patience, and commitment to treating residents with dignity and respect
  • Willingness to participate in weekend rotations
