Overview
Tualatin River keepers is a community-based organization that protects and restores the Tualatin River watershed. We build watershed stewardship through advocacy, restoration work, river access, and education. Our three key areas of focus – advocacy, stewardship, and river experiences – engage hundreds of volunteers and thousands of participants each year, who gain an appreciation of the watershed and its protection by experiencing it first-hand.
The Tualatin River keepers Restoration Crew Leader program will train you to lead groups of volunteers in habitat restoration projects throughout the Tualatin River Watershed. Crew Leaders support volunteers in projects such as invasive weed removal, native planting, and trail maintenance at parks, natural areas and outdoor community spaces.
As a Crew Leader, you ll strengthen your skills in plant , tool use and community engagement, have special opportunities to connect with and care for outdoor spaces, and learn more about local ecology from a variety of professionals and community organizations.
Don t have any previous involvement with volunteer leadership or habitat restoration? No problem, we d still love to have you participate!
