** OREGON YOUTH AUTHORITY**## INSTITUTION REGISTERED NURSE## BURNS, OREGON - EASTERN OREGON YOUTH CORRECTIONAL FACILITY  The Oregon Youth Authority (OYA) is seeking a
** Registered Nurse (RN)
** to join the Health Services team at
** Eastern Oregon Youth Correctional Facility in Burns**. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care that supports the physical and mental health of youth in OYA’s care, while working within a safe and secure close-custody environment. You’ll use your nursing expertise to assess health concerns, respond to emergencies, coordinate ongoing care, and help youth understand and manage their health needs.

** Duties & Responsibilities as a RN:
*** Assess and treat youth experiencing physical or mental health concerns, including developing nursing care plans and providing emergency and first-aid care.
* Provide routine nursing care by carrying out provider orders, evaluating treatment effectiveness, collecting laboratory specimens, and providing health education.
* Administer and manage medications, including assessing allergies, dosages, side effects and drug interactions and maintaining required pharmacy records.
* Maintain accurate and confidential electronic medical records, including documenting patient care, treatment, nursing care plans, appointments and essential health information.
* Support clinic operations and facility safety, including staff training, medical supply and equipment oversight, and maintaining security practices required in a close-custody environment.
