Sales Merchandiser – Full Time – Tigard, OR

Join Dietz & Watson as a Sales Merchandiser. The role supports sales and promotes brand awareness in our deli products.

• Safely operate a deli slicer.
• Set up deli cases and appropriately rotate deli product.
• Understand and execute schematics/planograms.
• Maintain marketing displays using Dietz & Watson Point of Sale (POS).
• Be a self‑starter, work in a team environment, or with little or no supervision.
• Manage time effectively and productively.
• Complete all reports, including store surveys.
• Consistently provide coverage to all stores within assigned territory based on store ranking.
• Make regular store visits, documenting all concerns or problems and addressing them in a timely manner.
• Build and maintain customer relationships by displaying high‑level customer service techniques to deli managers, employees, and store customers.
• Possess the knowledge and ability to create and market Dietz & Watson programs.
• Train all new store deli hires on the merits of Dietz & Watson and refresh training when needed.
• Communicate any necessary information to the Merchandiser Manager.
• Utilize monthly sales reports to achieve 100% distribution.
• Explore opportunities for sales growth with the Merchandiser Manager.
• Maintain full displays and a clean, sanitary work environment.
• Perform special projects outside of assigned territory.

• High school diploma or equivalence.
• 1–2 years of customer service or sales experience preferred; previous deli experience is a plus.
• Must read and write English.
• Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent communication, organization, creativity, and customization skills.
• Independent decision‑making skills.
• Ability to work weekends occasionally.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and valid Real  passport for travel.
• Ability to pass the company‑issued Serv Safe Manager exam.
• Flexibility and ability to travel (including flying) as needed, up to 30% of the time.

• Hourly: $20.00–$22.00 based on experience.
• Weekly payroll via Direct Deposit.
• Potential to earn over 5 hours per week of overtime.
• Monthly car allowance/expenses reimbursement on selective travel.
• Gas card provided.
• Company‑issued cell phone.

• Standing, bending, twisting.
• Ability to lift to 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Push or pull carts containing product up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Walking, reaching, use of both hands and arms.
• Operate a motor vehicle.
• Work in a safety‑sensitive position and occasionally in refrigerated cooler areas.
