Project Engineer; Subsea Cables

Position: Project Engineer (Subsea Cables)
Overview  We are looking for a  Project Engineer  to be involved in  subsea cable installation  activities for the offshore wind industry. In this role you will be working on project preparations in the office, as well as to be located all around the globe with the opportunity to visit project sites offshore. We are looking for a project engineer with a strong background in subsea cable installation.
Responsibilities   Being responsible for the engineering, preparation and execution of our projects;
Developing method statements for our works before we go execute them offshore;
When on-site, optimizing and implementing the method statements in practice;
Communicating between site or vessel and the office;
Keeping track of the installation process on the bridge on board one of our vessels;
Monitoring the progress of the project, participating in coordinating activities in the field, optimizing and fine-tuning where necessary in support of the Works Manager or Superintendent;
Taking care of ad hoc needs of the project and actively responding to questions from the project management;
Ensuring planning, production reporting, budget control and cost monitoring;
In this role you will be working office-based during the preparation phase of the project and during the project execution phase on rotations (you will have time off in between rotations).
Requirements   A MSc or BSc in Offshore Engineering, Marine Engineering or any other relevant engineering discipline;
Experience in the areas of Civil Engineering, Dredging or Marine Engineering is a plus;
A strong background office/offshore with: cable installation, trenching, cable pull-in activities;
Willingness to work abroad on our clients vessels or projects and in the office;
Fluent in verbal and written English;
This role is only available for EU passport holders.
