This type of role is common on pharmaceutical and biotechnology capital projects, where schedule integration across construction and validation is critical.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) using Primavera P6.
Create baseline schedules and monitor progress against approved baselines.
Integrate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, qualification, and validation activities into a single project schedule.
Review contractor schedules and ensure compliance with project scheduling standards.
Perform Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis and identify schedule risks.
Conduct schedule impact assessments and prepare recovery plans where necessary.
Produce weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and KPI metrics.
Facilitate planning workshops and look-ahead planning sessions.
Monitor milestones, float, productivity, and schedule performance.
Coordinate schedule updates with project managers, discipline leads, and contractors.
Support change management by evaluating schedule impacts of scope changes.
Maintain schedule quality in accordance with project controls procedures.
Assist in claims analysis, extension of time (EOT) assessments, and delay analysis when required.
Ensure compliance with Dutch HSE regulations and project governance requirements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
5–10+ years of experience in construction planning and scheduling.
Experience on Life Sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, semiconductor, or other highly regulated industrial projects is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of EPC/EPCM project delivery.
Experience working in multidisciplinary international project teams.
Technical Skills
Advanced Primavera P6.
Microsoft Project.
Microsoft Excel.
Power BI (preferred).
Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM).
Schedule risk analysis (preferred).
Understanding of commissioning and qualification (CQV) processes in Life Sciences projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment.
Proactive approach to identifying and mitigating schedule risks.
Team player with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
