Role Overview

We are looking to appoint a strong, enthusiastic, committed and creative classroom‑based Learning Support Assistant. Successful candidates will be required to work flexibly, taking direction from the class teachers and SENCo in adapting and planning activities to take students’ learning forward. Key responsibilities include small‑group provision and intervention for SEND pupils, and supporting the emotional and social development of the young people they work with.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out and write up necessary observations to inform and evaluate the child’s needs.

- Proactively identify groups or individuals who may be falling behind in their learning and respond with appropriate support.

- Provide excellent classroom support in literacy, numeracy and behavioural needs.

Qualifications & Experience
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent is essential.
  • Good standard of education;
    Maths and English GCSE grades A–C or equivalent.
  • Good organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of ICT.
  • Committed to high achievement for students and themselves.
