Looking for a straightforward HGV Class 1 tramping role with modern trucks, regular work and no loading or unloading? Join Turner-Whittman Logistics in Purfleet. We're growing our fleet and looking for reliable Class 1 drivers to join our team for long-term work with one of the world's leading e-commerce companies.
You'll drive between fulfilment centres, complete your shifts and return to your home location at the end of your working pattern.
- £41,600 gross per year + £25 night-out allowance
- Additional payments for night shifts and other applicable extras

You'll mainly transport goods between fulfilment centres, so you can focus on what you do best –
driving
.Most shifts are around 12 hours and can include both day and night work. You'll normally have an 11-hour daily rest period, with occasional longer hours or weekend work during particularly busy periods. There is no loading or unloading expected from you
.
- A valid C+E licence
- Driver CPC / DQC card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- At least 6 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience
- A good understanding of UK drivers' hours and tachograph regulations
- No more than 6 penalty points and no DD, DR or IN endorsements
- Sufficient spoken and written English for the role
- Confidence using mobile phone apps – training can be provided if needed
- Flexibility to work up to 60 hours per week where required
- Successful applicants will also need to complete the required background check and drug and alcohol screening
- Drive safely between fulfilment centres
- Transport goods from station to station
- Carry out daily vehicle checks
- Report any vehicle or trailer issues
- Use route-navigation apps to keep deliveries running on schedule
- Communicate professionally with colleagues and site teams
