Position
Registered Nurse I–III – Weekend Baylor (1st shift) at New Hampshire Veterans Home, Tilton, NH.
Pay Range$33.74 per hour – $66.07 per hour.
Schedule6:45 am – 7:15 pm shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
Responsibilities RN I Responsibilities- Apply nursing process techniques for evaluation, care, and treatment of residents, ensuring physical and emotional needs are addressed.
- Observe, record, and report signs, symptoms, and progress of residents’ medical treatment using the facility’s documentation system.
- Provide pharmacists’ orders, oxygen tank exchanges, and ensure all medical equipment functions properly.
- Participate in developing treatment plans and in therapeutic activities such as daily living activities and personal hygiene.
- Supervise licensed practical nurses or nursing support staff and provide in‑service training.
- Maintain competency in CPR techniques.
- Apply nursing process techniques for evaluation, care, and treatment, modifying plans based on changes in resident’s condition.
- Coordinate with other healthcare providers and delegate appropriate care to auxiliary nursing personnel.
- Monitor nursing care of RN I staff and provide training and orientation support.
- Perform specialized nursing tasks including medication dispensation, oxygen tank exchange, and equipment monitoring.
- Assist with therapeutic activities such as daily living and personal hygiene.
- Ensure CPR competency.
- Lead holistic care, evaluation, and treatment of residents with diverse diagnoses.
- Develop individualized treatment plans with the care‑plan team and delegate responsibilities to subordinate nursing staff.
- Supervise medication dispensation, oxygen access, and equipment functionality.
- Prepare residents for examinations and treatments while evaluating progress.
- Monitor outcomes, communicate complex data to supervisory staff, and maintain documentation and reporting.
- Write annual nursing assessments, mentor staff, and participate in policy meetings.
- Ensure CPR competency.
- Graduation from a recognized nursing program with affiliate or postgraduate courses and clinical experience in medical, surgical, obstetric, pediatric, and psychiatric nursing.
- Required registration experience only.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in New Hampshire.
- Same educational background as RN I.
- One year of experience as a registered nurse in a residential, nursing home, or long‑term care facility.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in New Hampshire.
- Either a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, human services, psychology, or a related field, or an Associate’s degree in nursing, human services, or psychology.
- One year of experience in a residential, nursing home, or long‑term care facility, or two years for the associate pathway.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in New Hampshire.
- Current CPR certification.
- Certification by the American Nurses Association or another nationally recognized entity in psychiatric and mental‑health nursing, gerontological nursing, wound care, or a specialty related to long‑term nursing care.
