Shipping Clerk

$2,000 SIGN ON Bonus!

Responsible for coordination of all domestic outgoing shipments, creating appropriate shipping documentation and maintaining associated records.

Duties:

Follow safe work practices and procedures and ensure a “safety first” culture in every task undertaken. Package and prepare outgoing shipments, including palletizing if required. Use UPS Worldship to prepare pick up for outgoing shipments Schedule with other local carriers for outgoing shipments, ie Fed Ex, DHL Invoice customers Assist with unloading of delivery trucks, when necessary. Maintain clean, tidy and safe workplace.

Abide by company and OHSA regulations/policies. Advise manager on implementing changes. Advises manager of risks or potential hazards as required. Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times to ensure the security and confidentiality of company information. Co-operate with other staff, supervisors and managers Perform any other duties as reasonably directed.

Minimum

Position Requirements :

High School diploma

Minimum of 2 or more years’ experience in warehouse setting

Forklift License, training provided by Sealite as needed

Computer skills including Microsoft Office Mechanical aptitude with attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a teamDOT CFR 49 and IATA training for Dangerous Goods/Hazmat Recommended Ability to lift 50lbsYou should be proficient in:

Shipping/Receiving Warehouse Experience Material Handler Experience Loading and Unloading Vehicles High School / GED
