YOUR

NEXT CHALLENGE
  • Maintain accounts payable systems & processes;
  • Review, process and audit invoices while ensuring accurate cost allocation to general ledger accounts;
  • Receive supplier’s invoices, check that invoices are submitted within the terms set out on the purchase order, (include purchase order numbers, have correct address etc.);
  • Correspond with suppliers and service companies to clear up invoicing errors, investigate past due amounts on statements and expedite outstanding invoices and credit notes;
  • Ensure that all invoices are approved in accordance with the established authorization matrix;
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to troubleshoot and improve accounts payable services;
  • Ensure that invoices are paid within the terms agreed to;
  • Reconcile invoices with payments;
  • Review and reconcile supplier statements monthly;
  • Maintain effective vendor relationships;
  • Respond timeously to queries from site regarding vendor activity;
  • Assist with internal and external audit requirements;
  • Adhere to Agnico Eagle Mines Limited policies and procedures;
  • Assist with other finance tasks, as required;
  • Other duties may be assigned, as required.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Post-Secondary Diploma in a Business-related program or equivalent experience in an Accounts Payable environment;
  • Minimum three years’ experience working as an Accounts Payable capacity;
  • English proficiency for written and oral communications. French is considered an asset;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact with a variety of individuals and functions throughout the company;
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize assignments;
  • Ability to process large volume of invoices;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance and accounting principles and best practices;
  • Ability to work with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
  • Experience with SAP and JD Edwards is considered a strong asset;
  • Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic and growing company;
  • Must be able to work successfully independently as well as within a team structure.

Work Schedule:

  • Schedule:

    40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday at our Timmins Regional Office or one of our satellite offices in Sudbury, North Bay;
  • This role is eligible for the Ontario Regional Teleworking Policy.
Compensation Statement

In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity. Your individual pay will reflect your skills and experience while remaining competitive within the local market.

Minimum Salary : $63,000 CAD Maximum Salary : $84,000 CAD
