Development Miner – Hoyle Pond Mine Site

The Development Miner is expected to perform a range of duties including scaling, mucking, installing ground support and/or reinforcement using shotcrete, drift excavation (face drilling, loading and blasting). The successful individual must exhibit a safety approach and ensure accurate and timely completion of assigned duties.

Schedule – 14/14 rotating between days and nights – 10.5 hour shifts.

• Ontario Underground Hard Rock Common Core
• Must have Modules U0004, U0005 and U0006
• Previous Jackleg/Stoper experience required
• Ability to read and understand designed ground support plans

• Ensure you follow all Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Ensure tasks are performed safely and efficiently while performing activities such as (but not limited to) drifting, slashing, drilling rounds, blasting, ground support/bolting, drilling production holes, mucking and installing services.
• Must comply with all Manroc and client policies, procedures and standards.
• Ensure that all goals and targets are met to guarantee success of the project while staying focused on safety.
• Ensure all hazards are reported in accordance with relevant procedures.
• Ensure the return of all unused materials to proper storage locations. This also includes proper housekeeping of work areas.
