About the Organization
Lake Shore Gold (a subsidiary of Pan American Silver) is located in Timmins, Ontario. The Bell Creek Complex, located approximately 20 kilometers northeast of Timmins, consists of an underground mine and processing facility. Mineralization is associated with the Porcupine-Destor fault system within the Abitibi greenstone belt, with ore mined by narrow vein longhole stoping methods. Ore is then transported to the surface via a modern 1080m deep shaft capable of 4800 tpd.

Aboutthe Opportunity
We are looking to hire a Geology Co‑Op Student to join our team at the Bell Creek Mine in Porcupine, ON
, on a full‑time basis. The schedule is 5x2, 8 hrs/day or 4x3, 10 hrs/day. Lake Shore Gold is seeking 2nd, 3rd or 4th year Geology Co‑Op Students to support the Geology team at our Bell Creek Mine site in Timmins, Ontario.
- Work both on surface and in underground environments
- Assist mine geology personnel in their day‑to‑day activities
- Data entry, filing, and excellent computer skills will be required. You will be required to work with DHLogger, Datamine, possibly Deswik, and Microsoft Office.
- Special projects as may be assigned from time to time
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required
- A valid driver’s licence is required
This position offers a salary range of $24.00‑27.50/hr, based on qualifications and experience.
About YouStudents must be currently enrolled in a geology or earth science program to be eligible. Proof of eligibility is required. The successful candidate will demonstrate Lake Shore Gold’s core values in Safety Health and the Environment and will meet the requirements of its Code of Conduct. Students must have access to a vehicle or arrange car‑pooling as public transportation is not available.
Company‑provided living arrangements are available. The placement will run until December 2026.
