00314). This role is with Agnico Eagle and is based at the Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON. It supports the Engineering Department under the Manager of Technical Services, contributing to goals and objectives while upholding Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and environmental stewardship. The site collaborates with operations to maintain geotechnical standards and ground control practices.

Your Next ChallengeReporting to the Manager of Technical Services, you will be part of the Engineering Department. You will ensure that goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of geotechnical/stress monitoring and modelling, rock support practices, and results to ensure gaps are identified and addressed.
- Review geotechnical assumptions considered during the elaboration of LOMP, 5-year plan, and budget plans.
- Work in collaboration with sites to develop improvement initiatives.
- Support sites in developing technical teams by coaching and mentoring site personnel in geotechnical related areas.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or relevant field.
- Registered (or eligible for registration) with Professional Engineers Ontario.
- 10 years of underground mine ground control experience.
- 4 years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Extensive experience in rock mass characterization including rock mass data acquisition through core logging and face mapping.
- Significant experience working in deep underground mines.
- Knowledge of and experience with the application of advanced numerical methods for underground design validation and stability assessments.
- Experience working in Northern Ontario or similar locations.
- Working knowledge of mine design software is considered an asset (Deswik).
- Working knowledge of Ground Control Software.

Minimum Salary: $142,000 CAD
