We are actively seeking a Metallurgical Technician to join our team. The Metallurgical Technician supports the metallurgical team by organizing and executing mill sampling campaigns, completing lab‑scale test work, and mill performance optimization. They ensure proper operation of mill process analyzers and complete regular inspections of equipment.

The Metallurgical Technician undertakes specific projects to improve production plant performance. They collaborate with other mill departments to ensure safe functionality of the Côté Gold plant, as well as mining and geology groups to ensure production targets are met. The role will report to the Senior Metallurgist and work a rotational schedule of 14 on and 14 off at the Cote Gold Mine Site.

• Process Monitoring & Accounting:
  Manage circuit performance through systematic sampling, rigorous data analysis, and accurate metallurgical accounting.
• Test Work & Innovation:
  Plan and execute lab‑scale testing and quality control on reagents to identify innovative opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.
• Operational Optimization:
  Troubleshoot and optimize circuit performance and reagent usage to maximize gold production efficiency and minimize costs.
• Technical Reporting:
  Prepare concise reports and technical recommendations to improve mill operations and provide data‑driven insights for decision‑making.
• Safety & Sustainability:
  Investigate and implement methods that prioritize workplace safety, environmental compliance, and the mitigation of hazards.
• Equipment & Asset Integrity:
  Ensure the accuracy of online analyzers and samplers, and conduct detailed inspections of critical mill equipment during planned shutdowns.

  Partner with vendors, consultants, and the assay lab to prioritize sample results and ensure project alignment.
• Refinery & Systems Support:
  Assist with refinery tasks and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and job hazard analyses to standardize best practices.

• College diploma in mineral processing, metallurgy or another related field.
• A minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
• Must have a solid understanding of optimizing mill throughput and recovery.
• Previous experience in a gold processing plant is considered an asset.
• Proficiency in computer applications and metallurgical software.

• Ability to work independently and in team settings.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Good observational and analytical skills.
