Lead Resource Geologist

Position: Lead Resource Geologist - Full Time
Lake Shore Gold invites applications for the Chief Resource Geologist position at our exploration site in Timmins, ON. This full-time role emphasizes resource assessment and team guidance.
In this pivotal position, you will act as the Qualified Person for mineral resource evaluations, supervising both the Resource Geology and QAQC Coordinator teams. Your leadership will ensure compliance with best industry practices while managing block models and contributing to the strategic planning of mining projects. Focus on fostering teamwork across geology, engineering, and production disciplines to enhance overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise mineral resource estimations and documentation

• Lead and mentor the Resource Geology team

• Govern block models for engineering accuracy

• Input into the Life of Mine planning processes

• Ensure adherence to industry QA/QC standards
Requirements:

• Degree in Geoscience with APGO certification

• At least 10 years in gold exploration or mining environments

• Knowledge of 3D modeling software (Datamine, Leapfrog)

• Commitment to safety protocols and practices

• Ability to communicate across project teams effectively
