Mine Planning Engineer

Position: Mine Planning Engineer with Brunel
Brunel seeks a Mine Planning Engineer to lead mine plan development in Timmins, ON. This role emphasizes data-driven decision-making, optimizing production, and mentoring junior team members on-site.
As a Mine Planning Engineer, you'll focus on creating detailed mine plans and schedules for open pit operations. The position connects various disciplines, enhancing collaboration with Operations and Geotechnical teams while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance. You will also take initiative in mentoring upcoming engineering professionals as part of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain mine plans for 0-12 months

• Prepare and communicate monthly planning updates

• Analyze production performance to adjust operational plans

• Collaborate with Geotechnical teams on mine design

• Promote high safety standards in all planning activities
Requirements:

• Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent

• Over 3 years of relevant experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

• Strong analytical skills to translate data into decisions

• Experience in mentoring junior engineers
Excel in mine planning and operational optimization with Brunel in Timmins.
