Your Impact- Lead geotechnical engineering projects that support northern infrastructure, transportation, mining, energy, and community growth.
- Oversee and conduct site investigations, soil and rock assessments, and advanced geotechnical analysis.
- Develop and review geotechnical reports, design recommendations, foundations, slope stability evaluations, and ground improvement solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior and intermediate engineers and technicians to strengthen capability in the North.
- Work closely with local clients, Indigenous partners, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality technical outcomes.
- Support business development through proposals, client meetings, and community‑focused relationship building.
- Bring innovative tools, technologies, and approaches to improve accuracy, efficiency, and sustainability in geotechnical work.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering (Master’s degree is an asset). Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario.
- 10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience, ideally with exposure to northern or remote projects.
- Deep technical knowledge of soil mechanics, foundations, slope stability, embankments, and ground improvement methods.
- Proficiency in geotechnical modelling and design software.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams with confidence and clarity.
- Strong client engagement skills and a passion for community‑building in Northern Ontario.
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $177,000 – $234,400
MB & ON: $161,500 – $222,300
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $159,900 – $212,300
