Senior Long Term Planning Engineer

Shape the future of mining with Discovery as a Senior Long Term Planning Engineer in Timmins, Ontario. This pivotal role emphasizes strategic mine planning and cross-department collaboration.
You will report to the Long Term Planning Superintendent and be responsible for delivering detailed underground planning packages, focusing on long-term resource management and community impact. Collaborating with engineers and operations, you will ensure your designs are feasible and aligned with business objectives while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver long-term mine planning work packages timely

• Design underground facilities and support reclamation initiatives

• Liaise with geotechnical engineers for design criteria

• Execute planning procedures and standards effectively

• Develop unit costs and conduct project evaluations
Requirements:

•

B.Sc. Mining Engineering required, P.Eng. preferred

• Proven experience in mine planning and design

• Strong skills in mine planning software including Deswik

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• High level of organizational and analytical proficiency
