Embrace outdoor challenges as a Field Environmental Technician with Magris Talc in Northern Ontario. Champion hands-on activities ensuring compliance with mining practices and environmental standards.
This exciting position at the Penhorwood site focuses on environmental monitoring, sampling, and compliance. You will engage in critical tasks such as groundwater sampling and assisting with safety inspections. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Environmental Science and at least 2 years of related experience, appreciating the variety of fieldwork.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct environmental compliance programs and monitoring
• Perform weekly water sampling for operational support
• Plan and coordinate sampling activities
• Assist with environmental hazard investigations
• Maintain accurate sampling records and documentation
Requirements:
• Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or similar
• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation
• Critical thinking and organizational skills
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
Contribute to meaningful environmental initiatives at Magris Talc while working with a skilled team.
