Operations EIT

Position

The role is an Operations EIT within Discovery Silver Corp., a North America precious metals company. You will support the mine operations team at Kidd Creek, gaining experience in mine engineering and improving safety and efficiency.

Discovery Kidd Creek offers an exciting EIT development program that provides graduates with unique training opportunities in the world’s deepest base metal mine. Working closely with an experienced engineer, you will gain experience in the practical aspects of Mine Engineering. The Mine Operations EIT role will provide a detailed understanding of the workings within operations, while managing projects to improve the safety and efficiency of mine operations with opportunities to gain front line mining experience.

• A university degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized university.
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience, including student jobs or co‑op placements.
• Experience with front line operations is considered an asset.
• Advanced computer skills, with a focus on Microsoft Suite.
• Strong interpersonal, critical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually in a fast‑paced work environment.
• Flexibility to travel to other mine sites if required.
