Step into a meaningful role as a Land Use Planner for Moose Cree First Nation. This position focuses on vital homelands planning processes to support community aspirations and traditional practices.
Reporting to the Land Use Plan Coordinator, you will engage in developing and implementing strategies that reflect Moose Cree cultural values. Applicants should be knowledgeable in First Nation land stewardship and have experience with traditional land use studies. Strong research and analytical skills, along with the ability to work with minimal supervision, are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate the development of planning processes
• Conduct research for informed land use strategies
• Collaborate with Lands and Resources team
• Adjust plans according to community feedback
• Travel as required for planning initiatives
Requirements:
• Education in Regional Planning or related field
• Understanding of Moose Cree culture and language
• Demonstrated analytical capabilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Valid class G driver’s license required
