As a Geotechnical Engineer, your role focuses on using historical data and industry best practices to guide both operational risk assessments and workforce training. Collaborate with various engineering teams to ensure compliance with geotechnical guidelines and enhance the communication of critical information for effective mine planning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Uphold the Ground Control Management Plan compliance
• Assess and inspect structures using geotechnical instruments
• Provide slope stability analysis for mining plans
• Lead quality control audits on waste designs
• Offer geotechnical training and support initiatives
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Mining or Geotechnical Engineering
• Canadian Professional Engineer registration required
• At least 5 years in rock mechanics or mining
• Previous supervisory roles are preferred
• Knowledge of Deswik and relevant software beneficial
